- In the above energy pyamid you see how energy is lost through the food chain. The producer starts with 100% of the energy. The primary consumer uses up 90% off that energy, and only keeps 10%, so on with secondary, and terciary consumers.
- At the begining there is 100% of energy, at the end there is only .01% becuase so much energy is lost through the food chain. Usually energy pyramids stop at four becuase the energy kept gets so small it is pretty much worthless.
